The International Society for Business and Industrial Statistics (ISBIS) invites you to take part in its 2025 Conference taking place on 2 and 3 October 2025 at the University of Amsterdam.

ISBIS is part of a family of international associations that operate under the umbrella of the International Statistical Institute (ISI) and this conference is a satellite event of the 64th ISI World Statistics Congress which will be held from 5 to 9 October 2025 in The Hague (60 km from Amsterdam).

Conference Programme

The conference will be held on Thursday 2 October (full-day) and Friday 3 October (half-day). 

We are excited to have a keynote entitled 'Analytics for a Better World' by Professor Dick den Hertog, professor of operations research and science to impact director of Analytics for a Better World. He will showcase the transformative potential of analytics in enabling non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to make a greater impact on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Furthermore we are planning sessions on:

  • Advances in Statistical Classification
  • Multivariate methods in quality and process modelling
  • Time series analysis and forecasting
  • Statical Learning and AI for societal challenges
  • ENBIS, ASMBI, ISBA and y-Bis sessions

The conference registration fee includes:

  • Conference Banquet diner

Cancellations received before 7 September will receive a refund minus a €50 cancellation fee.

Travel Information

Most international flights arrive at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, which is about 15 km from the Amsterdam city centre. It is well-connected by train (NS) or bus (Connexxion bus 397) to central Amsterdam. 

Please note that some flights within Europe may arrive at the smaller Rotterdam Airport or Eindhoven Airport, which are respectively 70 km and 130 km from Amsterdam. Read more about getting here and getting around.
