Maintaining military readiness is increasingly challenging due to aging populations and shrinking youth cohorts. Understanding the demographic, policy, and economic drivers behind recruitment and retention is crucial for evidence-based force planning and future-proof policy decisions.

The project delivered comprehensive analytical reports, actionable policy recommendations, and interactive planning tools with dynamic dashboards. Specific analyses included examining female military participation to identify factors influencing recruitment and retention across NATO countries, assessing public sentiment in response to recruitment advertisements on YouTube, forecasting recruitment and retention challenges based on demographic, health, and policy data, and exploring how socioeconomic factors correlate with the size of active military personnel.
