The project focused on improving NATO's military-medical lessons-learned process by replacing static observation forms with an AI-assisted conversational tool that supports both observers in the field and analysts at headquarters.

The students built an end-to-end pipeline where a chatbot guides observers through structured reporting, while back-end components automatically score data quality, find similar past observations, and surface insights in an analyst dashboard. The system is prepared for live testing at NATO's Vigorous Warrior 2026 exercise and is designed to increase completeness of observations, reduce processing time, and raise fill-rates compared to the existing form-based process.
